What is Short Tennis?

on court

It's a game that can be played by anybody; it doesn't require a great deal of skill or experience and it doesn't have to be played competitively. It is a lot of fun.

Short tennis is played indoors on a badminton court.

It is played with special foam balls that are quite lively.

Because of the soft balls and the short racquets that we use there is very little stress on the elbow and shoulder joints.

It's excellent exercise for older people.

The Prime Time (Telford) Group play short tennis at Oakengates Leisure Centre from 7pm every Thursday. Anyone over the age of 55 years is welcome. Why don't you come along one evening and try the game?

The game is played with shorter rackets and a soft ball - equipment will be provided. For more information phone Raymond Davies on 01952 612957 or Kevin Morrisey on 01952 825239.
