Your home should be a place of safety, but all too often there are
hidden dangers. Before something happens to you, get the council to check
it out.
Home Safe is free to anyone living in the Borough who is aged
60 or over or disabled. Whether you have big problems or just want
peace of mind, the council are there to help.
Step 1
Call the Home Improvement Agency on 01952 381855 and ask for a
Homecheck. They will then make an appointment to visit you in your home.
Step 2
The Home Improvement Agency will visit you and take a good look around
your home for any hazards or problems. If there are simple things that
they can fix, they will do it there and then. If there are any bigger
problems, they will discuss how to deal with them.
Step 3
If there are things that the Home Improvement Agency can't help with, they
will try to put you in touch with someone who can.
